Karie J. Boyd
Karie Boyd is the lead Trial Attorney and CEO of Boyd Law. She delivers case-winning results for her clients in trial as well as positions her clients for attractive out of court settlements. Ms. Boyd represents clients in both State and Federal Court. Her litigation experience includes both jury and bench trials, involving litigation matters such as: business litigation, real estate litigation, trust and estate litigation, and high net worth martial disputes.

Matthew Cadwell
Matt Cadwell is a Managing Attorney in the Family Law Division at Boyd Law. His practice focuses exclusively on Family Law matters. Mr. Cadwell has had the pleasure of working with high-net-worth clientele, teachers, members of the armed services, border patrol, Hollywood executives, entertainers and politicians.

Thomas Georgianna
Mr. Thomas Georgianna is the Managing Attorney of the Civil Litigation Division and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Division of Boyd Law. Mr. Georgianna practices in the areas of general business litigation and commercial arbitration. Mr. Georgianna is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University (B.A., History/Political Science, 1998) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 2001).

Ethan Tidwell
Ethan Tidwell is the Managing Attorney for Boyd Law, APC’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Tidwell has dedicated his legal career to the practice of family law exclusively. With a client-centered approach that prioritizes settlement where possible but does not shy away from litigation when necessary, Mr. Tidwell is committed to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients by tailoring his case strategy to each client’s individual needs.
Mr. Tidwell has been recognized for his outstanding work in the field of family law, including most recently being named to the Thomas Reuters Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the years 2024 and 2025.

Joshua L. Fabian is an associate Attorney in the Family Law Division at Boyd Law. Mr. Fabian’s practice at Boyd Law focuses exclusively on family law matters, including dissolution, legal separation, and parentage proceedings, child custody and visitation long cause hearings, property division including experience with forensic evaluations, orders for and post judgment modifications of child support.

Thomas Shields
Thomas Shields is a compassionate and strategic advocate in family law, serving as a dedicated family law attorney at Boyd Law APC’s San Francisco office, where he represents clients in matters involving divorce, child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and complex property division. Known for his clear communication and steady guidance, Mr. Shields works closely with clients to help them navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges with both skill and compassion.

Conner Morris
Conner Morris is an associate attorney at Boyd Law, where his practice focuses on complex family law issues.
Conner graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.A in Political Science. Conner received his Juris Doctorate from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law (USC).
During law school, Conner served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Steve Kim of the U.S District Court for the Central District of California.

Rafael A. Serrano III
Rafael A. Serrano III began building his legal career early in law school, when he was selected by his legal writing professor to serve as a law clerk at a prominent family law firm in Monterey County. During his time there, Rafael gained significant hands-on experience dealing with a wide variety of family law issues as a certified law student, including working directly with clients, appearing at numerous hearings, and conducting a trial under attorney supervision.
While in law school, Rafael demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, community service, and written and oral advocacy. He volunteered with the Domestic Violence Community Workshop, served as Vice President of his law school’s Student Bar Association, and was one of four finalists selected to compete in the law school’s Moot Court competition.
Rafael is on the board of directors of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association. Rafael has limited his practice exclusively to family law in both Los Angeles County and Orange County.

Richard Silva
Richard Silva is a paralegal at Boyd Law. He has been in the legal industry for over 15 years and has experience in Probate, Tax Law, Civil Litigation, and Family Law. Mr. Silva has his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Creighton University and paralegal certification from the University of California, Irvine.

Ashley Hoffman is a paralegal at Boyd Law and works in the firm’s Orange County Office. Ms. Hoffman is a graduate of University of La Verne, where she remained involved with her women’s fraternity, Alpha Omicron Pi, and the Gender-Sexuality Alliance (GSA). She graduated summa cum laudeand earned her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. Prior to working for Boyd Law, Ms. Hoffman gained experience interning for a boutique law firm in San Bernardino County.

Dawn Tiwana is a seasoned California paralegal with over 32 years of experience in the legal field. Her background is rooted primarily in family law, where she has dedicated decades to supporting individuals and families through complex and emotionally sensitive matters. In addition, Dawn has experience in estate planning, civil, and criminal matters, providing her with a well‑rounded understanding of legal processes across multiple practice areas.
Dawn is a member of the American Bar Association – Paralegal Division (Member No. 06313446) and is also a Notary, reflecting her strong commitment to ethical standards, accuracy, and client service.
Since 2018, Dawn has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for the best interests of children involved in the foster care system. This volunteer role underscores her dedication to community service and her belief in giving a voice to those who need it most.

With more than a decade of progressive leadership experience in law firm management, she oversees the firm’s human resources, operations, finance, and strategic growth initiatives. Kimberly is recognized for building efficient organizational structures, implementing scalable processes, and driving profitability while maintaining a strong culture of excellence.
Starting her career at the ground level of law firm operations, Kimberly advanced through roles of increasing responsibility to firm-wide leadership. Her breadth of expertise in HR, payroll, compliance, and multi-location management uniquely positions her to guide firms through complex operational challenges. She is passionate about aligning business operations with long-term strategic vision and enabling attorneys to focus on delivering exceptional client service.

Brenden Leischner
Brenden Leischner is a Legal Assistant at Boyd Law and works in the San Diego County office in downtown San Diego, California.
Mr. Leischner is a graduate of the University of Providence in Montana, where he was a collegiate level wrestler. Mr. Leischner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal and Legal studies, with a Minor in Criminal Justice, and Homicide Investigations. During college, Mr. Leischner was recognized for academic honors and regularly appeared on both the President’s List and the Dean’s List.
Prior to working for Boyd Law, Mr. Leischner gained experience as a legislative assistant to Montana State Legislator Debora Kottel involved on a sexual and physical violence awareness campaign. Mr. Leischner volunteered for a program with Native American children known as Camp Sky Child focusing on rehabilitating children who suffered from domestic abuse and physical or emotional traumas.

Susana Hueso
Susana Hueso is a legal secretary at Boyd Law. Her practice areas focus on bankruptcy laws, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13.
Ms. Hueso graduated from Cabot College and holds a certificate as a Microcomputer Specialist.
Prior to working for Boyd Law, Ms. Hueso worked as a legal assistant for the Law Office of Felipe D. Hueso, APLC. Additionally she worked for Dr. Leonard M. Okun, M.D., the National Medical Director at U.S. Healthworks. Susana is fluent in English and Spanish.

Aaron Hunt is a Legal Support Staff at Boyd Law. He has been in the legal industry for over 8 years and has experience in Civil Litigation, and Family Law. Mr. Hunt has his Associate Degree and Paralegal Certification from Cerritos College.
Prior to joining Boyd Law, Mr. Hunt had worked in Orange County for a well-established firm for several years as a paralegal. During his tenure there he gained extensive knowledge and experience in not just the legal aspects of family law, but he also gained what it means to have empathy and passion to assist those in need of assistance.
